How do I serve my reception meal when the caterer drops the food and leaves?

Sit-downs, Buffets, Food Trucks..OH MY!

You’ve done the tastings.

You’ve picked the menu.

What else could there possibly be to worry about?!

Whether you are planning to serve your guests lobster tail on the finest china, a hometown BBQ buffet on disposables or tacos out of a food truck, there must be structure when communicating with a caterer.

While some caterers prefer to stay on-site during events, a fair share do what is called a drop & go.

Well, what’s a drop & go?

Drop & go implies that the caterer will simply deliver the food and leave the premises.

Now what?! Am I responsible for all this food?!  It’s my special day, I don’t want to be tied down to food execution!

Lucky for you, this is where we step in! We pride ourselves on working hand in hand with caterers to receive the food that is going to be served at your venue of choice.  Our dedicated and experienced team will know just what to do to properly execute your vision.

Swordfish plated and sprinkled with garnishes on great-grandma’s china? DONE.

Meatballs tossed in sauce on a buffet line? YOU GOT IT!

Roaming a backyard celebration to dispose of trash from the wings and things food truck? NO WORRIES!

We do all the logistical heavy lifting, so you don’t have to lift anything (other than a fork and spoon!)

Let our team of experts amaze you with our attention to detail and skill.  Reach out to us and let us know how we can help!

Why staffing an event is more than just hiring extra set of helpful hands

Planning a reception is a thrilling time. Past wedding memories mesh with inspirational moments in your feed and you start to envision an unforgettable celebration. Picking your colors and style of decor is so much fun but by the time you are organizing help with the staffing, the glamour starts to fade. A person to watch a tub of beer on ice and maybe someone to help clean up seems like a reasonable amount of help, right?!

Almost always, the solution to wedding staffing is not so simple. Remember going out to a restaurant right after the 2020 shut down lifted? Understaffed and overstressed food service experiences left us yearning for a time when we felt valued and nurtured, and this is your big day!

When handcrafting proposals for our clients, we weigh a variety of factors in deciding how to staff a wedding. Understaffing and event can be just as detrimental to a budget as overstaffing. Paying for staffing support should always leave you feeling like you were treated like a VIP.

Our commitment to our clients is to provide each event with a team of professionals that help to create a wonderful experience. The time we take to gather information from each client helps us to craft bespoke reception proposals. This translates into a well-staffed celebration where details are managed, and your wedding is an uplifting and memorable gala event.

There are weddings that just need an extra set of hands, we understand that, but for 32 years, we have built our reputation on providing a level of service that goes beyond the bare minimum. If that is the wedding that you have been dreaming of, we’d love to work with you!
